In a cocktail shaker or glass, add the cucumber, gin or vodka, lemon juice, and elderflower liqueur. Muddle until the cucumber is well broken down and has released its juices. In your cocktail glass of choice, fill with crushed ice and sliced lemon wheels and strain in your white linen cocktail. Top with chilled sparkling water and garnish with a cucumber slice.
